Hey there. Who ever said you couldn't teach an old dog new tricks hasn't met this cowboy. I just recently launched my redesigned website for Dark Horse Wine and someone said "Mike, you need a Blog." I said "a WHAT??"
Then I discovered that I could actually ramble on about winemaking, the goings on in the vineyards, funny things people ask me about winemaking and more... Basically, I realized "Whoa, Baby, this could get fun!"
So, I hope you enjoy it along with me.
For starters, I am a winemaker working in theDry Creek Valley, Sonoma County, California. Dry Creek is known as one of the premier grape growing and winemaking regions of the world. And I feel lucky to be here. I have helped many wineries in the area make great wine and now I am making it under my own label.
Why did I choose "Dark Horse"? Read the next post and find out!
